Junior Melat Gebre was elected as senior class pres­i­dent for Justice High School in the 2022–2023 school year. Gebre is a member of both the varsity girls basket­ball and lacrosse teams as well as the pres­i­dent and founder of the Ethiopian-Eritrean club.

Gebre’s respon­si­bil­i­ties as class pres­i­dent are to conduct all meet­ings along with other class offi­cers in the grade and work with them to add to all class meet­ings and agenda forms that the Exec­u­tive Board gives you.

Gebre applied for this posi­tion because she wanted to give the class of ‘23 the most memo­rable year of high school. “I wanted our last year of high school to be as much fun as possi­ble,” said Gebre. “I felt like I could do so by incor­po­rat­ing every­body into my new ideas.”
